Jim is an illustrator and a graphic designer. He paints, he creates web graphics, and he designs logos. He also designs educational materials for Scholastic Inc.

Jim has provided illustrations for The Atlantic, BusinessWeek, Esquire.com, HarperCollins, Scholastic, Penguin, Connecticut Magazine, Rhode Island Monthly, and many others. He is a regular contributor to deadspin.com, curbed.com, and eater.com.

Jim co-created an annual illustration journal, MAMMAL, with five good friends who are awe-inspiringly talented. He was a founding member of The Black Table. He illustrated a children's picturebook, Heroes and She-roes. Jim doesn't get enough sleep at night.

Jim lives in Brooklyn. He once lived in Rhode island. He feels weird about writing this in the third person.

Jim is a baseball fan and an avid crossword puzzle solver. He votes Democratic. He can be spotted on google street view – standing on the corner of Broadway and Spring Street. He is married to the most wonderful person.
